Dear Colleagues

Since many of the Tree Biotechnology community members in the Northern Hemisphere have been away on summer break over the past weeks, we would like to make use of this opportunity to remind everybody that registration and abstract submission are now officially open for the IUFRO Tree Biotechnology Conference 2027!

We are also delighted to share our first Newsletter (attached and online) including important information on the scientific programme, our main plenary speaker (Prof Ed Buckler from Cornell University) and opportunities for sponsorship and exhibition.

Stellenbosch University and the University of Pretoria are co-hosting this biennial conference, which will be held in Stellenbosch, South Africa, from 25-30 April 2027. The topic for this meeting will be Intelligent Forests – Facing the Future.
