Here is another update on our Uneven-aged Silviculture Research Group.  The primary purpose of this email is to update you on our meeting in Slovenia this September and remind you of several rapidly approaching deadlines.  Please forward this email to interested persons who might not be on this mailing list and encourage them to join the list server as indicated below.

Future Meetings:
Our next 1.05 meeting will be in September 2010 in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The conference title is "21st Century forestry: Integrating ecologically based, uneven-aged silviculture with increased demand for forests." The conference will run from 23-26 September with a post-conference tour scheduled from 27-30 September. The conference includes an in-conference
tour and a number of conference themes. Many thanks to Jurij Diaci from the University of Ljubljana who is leading this effort.  The conference website is:

Important Deadlines (early registration will help organizers identify appropriate facilities for the meeting):

• Conference registration is now available and the discounted "early bird" registration ends 1 May 2010.
• Abstracts are due by 1 June 2010.

IUFRO CONGRESS
22-28 August 2010, XXIII IUFRO World Congress, Seoul, Republic of Korea, "Forests for the Future: Sustaining Society and the Environment".   I hope to see many of you at the Congress. We are hosting two sessions that include both oral and poster presentations.  There are, of course, many other technical sessions on a variety of themes.  The IUFRO2010 website has more details. 

Publications:
A group of papers from the 2008 meeting in Shizuoka, Japan have been published in February 2010 issue of the "Journal of Forest Research" (Volume 15)
