Subject: Interdivisional IUFRO Conference May 22nd-24th 2012
Dear colleagues,
we want to inform you about an international, interdivisional
conference “forests for people” that will take place May 22nd-24th 2012
in Alpbach/Tyrol/Austria. This conference is one part of the new IUFRO
strategy and it should prepare the next world conference.
We invite you to present actual findings explicitly in the field of
silviculture, such as
· forest and ecosystem services
· communication and acceptance of new artificial (intensive)
silvicultural systems
· landscape change and biomass for energy
· cooperation to ensure restoration of degraded sites.
You are invited to present your findings or to organize a coordinated
session.More information is available at ffp2012.boku.ac.at
We are looking forward to meeting you in Alpbach.
Best regards,
Ulrike Pröbstl
