Subject: PhD course on international forest policy in Umea - please distribute widely - sorry for cross-posting

Dear all,

We are inviting for applications for a one week PhD student course on international forest policy in September/October (the lecture period is September 11 – 15 in Umea).

Please find attached a short description of the course. The main aim is to provide an understanding of international forest policy on global as well as European level from a broad social science perspective. The course is relevant for PhD students from different disciplines, welcoming students not only from forest and core social sciences.

The course is organized by the Department of Forest Economics, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, and the North European Regional Office of the European Forest Institute, EFINORD, in collaboration with the Centre for Environmental and Resource Economics, CERE, the Scandinavian Society of Forest Economics, SSFE, and the University of Copenhagen.

Deadline for application is July 10th.

It would be great if you could forward the course flyer into your networks, and could approach potentially interested students.

Many thanks and best wishes
