Dear colleagues,
join us on Tuesday, 03 March 2026, at La Falaise Hotel, Yaoundé, or online
for the closing event of the KnowGlobal Project, a flagship effort under the RESSAC initiative led by CIFOR-ICRAF with support from the European Union.
Over the past years, KnowGlobal has strengthened capacities, advanced scientific collaboration, and integrated indigenous knowledge to support sustainable forest management across Cameroon, DRC, and Gabon.
Based on the RIU model of scientific knowledge transfer, KnowGlobal examined knowledge transfer and integration processes at various governance levels.
As part of the project, Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg collaborated with the University of Dschang (Cameroon) and FODER - Forêts et Développement Rural.
This event brings together government actors, researchers, indigenous communities, youth and women’s groups, the private sector, and technical and financial partners to reflect on achievements and chart the path forward.
A key highlight will be the roundtable science-policy dialogue on integrating scientific and indigenous knowledge systems in the Congo Basin, followed by the official launch of our policy briefs, which capture the project’s
most significant insights and recommendations.
Be part of the conversation shaping the future of knowledge transfer and forest governance in Central Africa.
Attached you find the programme.
The event will be held partly in English and partly in French
