Dear all!

Interested in a fully paid PhD position at Southern Swedish Forest Research Centre, or maybe know someone that could be? Here is an excellent chance! Deadline for applications is January 26, 2018!

The subject is related to Heteroabsidion root rot on Scots pine, and more info about this and the requirements on the applicant can be found in the advertisement here: http://www.slu.se/en/education/programmes-courses/postgraduate-studies/new-phd-student/Read-more/?sprak=e&Uid=2234

Southern Swedish Forest Research Centre is a department at SLU (Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences). It is located at the southernmost campus, Alnarp, with a very mild climate due to its proximity to the ocean. The location is within easy reach from Lund and Malmö and the closest major airport is in Copenhagen, Denmark. The department is also part of the Faculty of Forest Sciences, being ranked # 1 in forestry research in the world (according to CWUR).

Fully paid means full salary for the student (ca 26000 SEK per month for four years), project money for doing the actual research is also provided. An employment as PhD student furthermore includes vacation (25-35 days per year depending on age), free medical care and prescribed medicine, as well as subsidized physical training.

The student is of course expected to be dedicated, hardworking like at any other position, able to work and take lead in a team, be socially skilled etc (more to read in the add) and love to work with forest pathology and forest management!

Best regards

Jonas
