Dear friends and colleagues,

As I mentioned in our recent newsletter / annual report, we will proceed with planning our next All-Division 7 Forest Pathology and Entomology Conference, to be held from 6-9 September 2022 in Lisbon, Portugal.
Manuela Branco and José Carlos Franco will be the local organisers.

Attached is a first announcement.

At this time, we are asking for early indications of likely participation, preferably by 25 June 2021 or before
We have chosen this date because we need to enter into an agreement with the conference venue and that requires a partial payment of the venue hire fee. So we need to know if there is enough interest from potential participants.

Therefore, we would like to ask you to ...
  1. submit session proposals (on any forest pathology or entomology topic); please send these to iufrolisbon2022@isa.ulisboa.pt  by 25 June 2021 or preferably even earlier (see the attached announcement for further information); and/or
  2. let us know if you plan to attend the conference by sending an email to iufrolisbon2022@isa.ulisboa.pt preferably also by 25 June 2021. That way we will add your name to our list for occasional email updates and subsequent announcements.

We are hoping that many participants of forest health working parties will attend and support the conference.

Please share this announcement with your forest pathology and entomology colleagues (including participants of past IUFRO meetings).

Our apologies if you receive this message more than once as we will cross-post this announcement via other channels.

Best wishes
Ecki Brockerhoff, Manuela Branco and José Carlos Franco
and the entire conference organising team Tod Ramsfield, Maartje Klapwijk, Beccy Ganley, Julio Diez, Barbara Bentz, Hervé Jactel and Joséphine Queffelec
