(Apologies for cross-posting)

Hello everyone,

We would like to invite you to the Yale International Society of Tropical Foresters’ 26th Annual Conference. We believe this event may be of interest to you and your colleagues (or students) and we hope you might consider attending and participating.

The 2020 ISTF Conference theme is “Restoration for What and for Whom? Shifting the Paradigm in Tropical Forest Management.” The conference will take place January 30-February 1, 2020 in New Haven, CT. Registration for the conference is still open and you can find more information on our website.

The ISTF Conference will bring together academics, practitioners, policy-makers, forest-dwelling people, activists, and journalists to explore equitable and effective approaches to restoration at this critical moment for tropical forests and their inhabitants. We are delighted to announce this year’s two keynote speakers:

Ariel Lugo - Director, International Institute of Tropical Forestry, USDA Forest Service (Puerto Rico)

Susan Chomba - Project Manager, Regreening Africa, ICRAF (Kenya)

For a full list of panel speakers, which include renowned ecologists and critical geographers, grassroots restoration practitioners, and award-winning journalists and artists, please see our website: https://istf.yale.edu/2020-conference/panelists

We would be very grateful if you could share this with your contacts that might be interested. We hope to see you at the conference!
