Dear IUFRO Division 6 colleagues,

I am happy to send you the 4^th edition of our Division newsletter, with news from the recent IUFRO World Day and Enlarged Board meeting, among other. Once again I would like to thank Deputy Division Coordinator Purabi Bose for compiling and editing the newsletter.

We have decided to change to a biannual publication schedule from now, but between newsletters you will receive news and updated by email.

As always, we are looking forward to your contributions about events, new publications or projects, and other activities relevant to the Division’s work on the social aspects of forests and forestry.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank those of you who participated in the first-ever IUFRO World Day recently, either by hosting a session, speaking, or participating. It was really good to see that our Division was very visible during the event.
