New RFFL Website and Publication Now Online!

Dear Reader of IUFRO News:

The Resilient Future Forests Laboratory (RFFL) is a global network of long-term, operational-scale plots that demonstrate forests managed for resilience and adaptation to change. The RFFL Network covers large gradients of climatic and socio-economic conditions. And we are happy to announce the launch of the RFFL website: https://resilientfutureforest.org/

At the same time, we are announcing the new Occasional Paper RFFL Guidebook published by IUFRO, which provides guidance on establishing and maintaining RFFL Field Plots, collecting data, and sharing results. This guide is intended primarily for anyone directly involved in proposing and establishing an RFFL Location. Scientists, practitioners, consultants/advisors, and landowners (individuals or organizations responsible for the land on which the RFFL is located) all will benefit from this Guide.

It can be downloaded from:

For those joining the XXVI IUFRO World Congress in Stockholm, visit the IUFRO-SPDC Exhibition Space. Throughout the week, there will be presentations about different forest landscape restoration projects, including RFFL: https://www.iufro.org/science/special/spdc/cong24/.

Sincerely,

Michael Kleine
