Join us May 24-27, 2022 in Quebec City, Quebec for the 22nd International Nondestructive Testing and Evaluation of Wood Symposium!

 

The 22nd International Nondestructive Testing and Evaluation of Wood Symposium is a forum for those involved in nondestructive testing and evaluation of wood, wood-based materials and products.

It will bring together the international nondestructive testing and evaluation research community, users of various nondestructive testing technologies, equipment development and manufacturing professionals, representatives from various government agencies and other groups to share research findings and new nondestructive testing products and technologies.

Deadline to Submit: January 31, 2022

 

The symposium will include oral and poster presentations from scientists, engineers, and students, and exhibits from equipment development firms and scientific publishers. The symposium organizing committee invites papers, posters, and scientific exhibits from interested individuals and organizations.

​A key objective of the conference is to foster international partnerships aimed at improving data acquisition and sharing, modeling methods, model integration and the development of NDT/NDE tools that can ultimately increase the value of the forest resource.

Topics:

Abstracts for oral or poster presentations are invited on scientific research topics broadly related to one of the following themes:

  • Nondestructive characterization of wood and wood-based materials
  • In-forest wood quality assessments
  • Evaluation of forest materials for optimal utilization
  • Advanced grading technologies for solid wood and engineered wood products
  • Condition assessment, evaluation, and repair of existing wood structures
  • Condition assessment of historic wood artifacts and structures
  • Evaluation and assessment of urban trees
  • Industrial application of emerging nondestructive testing technologies
  • Other nondestructive evaluation-related research and development activities

This event will primarily be planned as an in-person event. For those who can travel, please note that the event will follow strict sanitary measures to ensure the safety of all.
