Dear Division 4 Colleagues,

I am contacting you as the Division 4 Representative to the 2019 World Congress Science Committee. I am pleased to announce that Division 4 will have 27 sessions in the XXV IUFRO World Congress, which will be held in Curitiba, Brazil from 29 September to 5 October 2019.

I have attached a file that contains the abstracts of all sessions attributed to Division 4. In addition, there are various other sessions (almost 200) which might suit your research topics. Due to the large number of session proposals, many were merged. Consequently, sessions originally proposed by Division 4 members may have been merged with proposals from other Divisions and listed elsewhere. Please find the Call for Abstracts, brief description of the technical sessions, and registration via the following link: http://iufro2019.com/abstracts-submission/

You need to register to be able to submit an abstract and this is free. The deadline for abstract submission is 31 December 2018. Please be sure to submit your abstract by then!

Once your abstract is accepted for presentation (announcement will be made on 28 February 2019), early registration for the presenter and payment deadline is 31 May 2019. You must meet this deadline or your presentation will be cancelled.

There also is a Scientist Assistance Programme (SAP) for supporting scientists from economically disadvantaged countries who are younger than 46 years. SAP registration will start on 1 March 2019. Full information on this scholarship can be found at: http://iufro2019.com/scientist-assistance-program-sap/. Young scientists are encouraged to apply!!

Please feel free to share this information with your colleagues. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you in Curitiba.
