Forest Carbon Researcher (Permanent) Ref 814
Basic Function
Teagasc seeks to appoint a forestry researcher to measure and model the impact on carbon of afforestation and forest management.
The successful candidate will be part of the Forestry Development Department based in Johnstown Castle (or other Teagasc centre by agreement). They will
work in an interdisciplinary and collaborative manner with other forestry, soils and carbon researchers both in Teagasc and externally.
Location: Forestry Development Department, Johnstown Castle Research Centre, Wexford
or other major Teagasc Research Centre, subject to agreement with the Head of Department.
Closing date for applications: Tuesday 6th of June 2023 @12pm
Salary: Research Officer with a Salary Scale of €37,808 to €72,999
Government policy continues to be that starting pay on recruitment from open competition for all posts within the public service should be at the minimum
of the relevant salary scale and are not subject to negotiation.
Contract duration: Permanent
