Dear Colleagues,

The EGU General Assembly 2026, held in Vienna, Austria & online from 3-8 May 2026, brings together geoscientists from all over the world to one meeting covering all disciplines of the Earth, planetary, and space sciences. The EGU aims to provide a forum where scientists, especially early career researchers, can present their work and discuss their ideas with experts in all fields of geoscience.

Find out about Session BG3.12 on "Nature-based solutions for restoring forests under climate change" at the EGU 2026 General Assembly.

The session is convened by Debojyoti Chakraborty, BFW (and IUFRO officeholder), and aims to advance knowledge by gathering insights into monitoring approaches, stakeholder perspectives, and policy dimensions of nature-based solutions (NBS) and forest landscape restoration (FLR) under climate change.

Contributions are welcome by Thursday, 15 January 2026, 13:00 CET!
