Using real-life cases to learn about forest genetic resources We are pleased to present the “Forest genetic resources training guide” which aims to make teaching and learning of issues related to forest genetic resources easy and engaging. The training guide covers practical issues that practitioners confront in real-life, introduces students to basic genetic concepts and shows how to apply them to these real issues. Organized in a modular format, the guide provides case studies, teacher notes (as PDF and e-book) and audiovisuals that are flexible and easy to use in a range of formal or informal training and learning situations. The trainer can select topics and case studies that are of particular interest and relevance to their students to present them with confidence, supported by the detailed and tested teachers’ notes.
The first two modules are already available in English, Spanish, French and Russian. Learn more
