Much appreciated,

Dear colleagues and friends (apologies for cross-posting)

Please see attached announcement for the first ever joint meeting between the Western Forest Genetics Association, Southern Forest Tree Improvement Committee, and Northern Forest Genetics Association: Forest Genetics 2025 that will take place June 23-27th, 2025 in State College, Pennsylvania.

We are thrilled to bring together forest geneticists from across the globe to State College, Pennsylvania this spring to lead discussions on the role of genetics in forest health, conservation, climate adaptation, biotechnology, tree breeding, seed sourcing and seed transfer, and much, much more. This meeting will include exciting keynote speakers across a diversity of topics in forest health and genetics, highlighting a diversity of research approaches, issues, and advances critical to the field of forest genetics. The conference will include local field trips to forest genetics research sites and several free workshops offered prior to the meeting to facilitate training and extension.

FOR MORE INFORMATION on our tentative schedule, travel, venue, and more see our website (https://forestgeneticsconference2025.comand if your organization is interested in sponsoring this meeting: please contact Jill Hamilton (jvh6349@psu.edu) or Conference Organizers (forestgenetics2025@gmail.com).

Stay tuned for further details regarding registration and abstract submission, which will be provided in December 2024!!
