Dear colleagues,
I would inform you that Cost Action FP1202 in
collaboration with the
Forest Genetics and Diversity
research group (University of
Copenhagen) is organizing a Training School on “Analysis of
genetic structure within and among populations with focus on marginal
populations of woody species” at Forest and Landscape College
(Fredensborg, Denmark) on 18-22
January 2016.
The training school
focuses on how to analyze data on genetic structures developed as results of the
interplay between local adaption (response to selection), genetic drift and gene
flow.
The training school targets PhD
students and other young scientists involved in on-going studies of genetics of
woody plant species.
MSc students can also benefit from
the course provided if they already have some background knowledge in population
genetics or quantitative genetics, and are working with genetic analysis of
populations in their MSc thesis.
The call for
application will be open until December 6, 2015. The selection of
trainees will be done by December 16, 2015.
Please, kindly
find the detailed call attached.
Feel free to
spread the word!
Kind regards
Fulvio Ducci and Nicolas Picard (WG4 Leader)
