I am happy to announce an IUFRO conference titled “Reforestation Under Drought” on 6-10 July 2026 in Independence, Oregon, USA.
Abstract submission is currently open and will close 30 November 2025.
Conference Themes:
1. Reforestation pipeline under drought: Seed, Seed production, Outplanting, Post-planting
2. Basic plant responses to drought: Genetics, Physiology, Anatomy, Biochemical, Phenology
3. Modeling & advanced inventory techniques: Traditional growth & yield, Process-based modeling, Incorporating genetics, climate, biophysical factors, and silviculture, Remote sensing/GIS/sensor use in reforestation
4. Intensive/precision silviculture
5. Post-natural disturbance reforestation under drought (fire, wind, ice, biotic): Natural regeneration methods, Artificial regeneration methods
