Dear Oak Managers and Scientists,
Registration for the International Oak Symposium is now open! Please visit the website and click on the Registration tab to register for this four-day
Symposium. A preliminary Agenda and Field Tour information have also been posted. Registration will be limited,
so please register early. A student discount is offered to contribute towards our goal of professional development. Check out our
promo video with some of the plenary speakers and topics.
Presenters have already received notification of acceptance of their oral or poster presentation abstract and are required to register by
August 6th. USDA Forest Service registrants -the meetings management package is not yet complete, and you can only register once you are approved. We do not know when that will be.
Feel free to join us on our
Slack channel where you can coordinate with others on lodging or other logistics, ask questions, and have conversations with other attendees!
Please also reserve your room at the
Hilton Knoxville, where the Symposium will be held (501 W Church Ave, Knoxville, TN 37902, USA, in the heart of downtown). We have secured a block of rooms at a rate of $113 per night until September 15th, 2024 by 1700 EST. The hotel prefers for
you to use a direct online link to reserve your room.
If you need to call to make the reservation, please call 1 (800) 774-1500 and use the group name ‘Oak 24.’ Please let
Stacy Clark know if the room rate of $113 is unavailable, and she will coordinate with the Hilton or another hotel to secure more rooms.
The University of Tennessee’s School of Natural Resources is proud to host this event and are seeking sponsors to help defray costs for students and provide a unique experience for attendees, including field tours, panel discussions, refreshment
breaks, and socials. Visit:
