There is probably no better way to celebrate the accomplishments of IUFRO's 125-year-long history and at the same time address the future challenges and opportunities for forestry and forest research than by holding a truly international scientific meeting.

The 125th Anniversary Congress of the International Union of Forest Research Organizations on 19-22 September 2017 in Freiburg, Germany, will be the ideal meeting place not only for forest scientists but also for researchers from other disciplines and leading decision makers from the forestry, environment, development and other key sectors from all over the world.

The Congress Scientific Committee (CSC) invites submissions of session proposals for the IUFRO 125th Anniversary Congress: In keeping with the Congress title - Interconnecting Forests, Science and People - proposals should highlight forest and forest-related research that contributes to science-based solutions for the benefit of forests and people worldwide.
