Latest Updates of IUFRO Statutes and Internal Regulations<= /strong>

<= /p>

The Statutes and = Internal Regulations of IUFRO constitute the legal basis of IUFRO and its gov= ernance. While the Statutes define the fundamental framework of our organizat= ion, the Internal Regulations specify the procedures for implementing them. B= oth documents are subject to regular review and updating.=C2=A0

Th= e most recent major revisions to these guiding documents were made in March 2= 023. Since then, a few items have emerged that required additional changes. W= hile changes to the Statutes need formal approval by the International Counci= l, based on the recommendation by the Board, changes in the Internal Regulati= ons require Board approval only.=C2=A0

The latest proposed amendme= nts submitted to the Board and International Council related to aligning IUFR= O's Statutes and Internal Regulations with the requirements of the Austrian F= ederal Ministry of Finance and the International Science Council. They also i= nclude provisions for the newly established Division Communications Coordinat= or position, as well as updates and clarifications regarding officeholder rol= es and membership.

Through an electronic Board ballot vote held fr= om 19 June =E2=80=93 3 July 2026, the IUFRO Board approved the submitted chan= ges to the Internal Regulations and made a recommendation to the Internationa= l Council to approve proposed changes to the Statutes. The International Coun= cil approved changes to the Statutes via electronic ballot vote held from 8-2= 9 July 2026.=C2=A0
